The Holloman Run of Aces: A Race to Remember!
On September 6, 2025, Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico proudly hosted the 3rd Annual Ace of Races Marathon. This exciting event featured a full marathon, half marathon, 5K, and a Kids Dash, allowing runners to race along a flat course surrounded by impressive F-16s and MQ-9 drones. The atmosphere was electric, filled with camaraderie and competition among service members and their families.
The USO played a crucial role, offering games and entertainment while providing essential hydration and snacks for participants. Specialist Justin Ortiz from unit 1-12 IN BN remarked, “The USO’s presence made a huge difference for us… and reminds us of the support we have.”
As the day wound down, a profound sense of unity and pride lingered in the air. The success of the marathon showcased not only the determination of our servicemembers but also the strength of community support. A heartfelt thank you to all who participated and cheered on our troops; together we strengthen the well being of those who serve and their families.
